SPAR Conference

  • Hotel Benczur 35 Benczúr utca Budapest, 1068 Hungary (map)

The SPAR Project involves six partners from across Europe working together to research and develop innovative and sustainable approaches to training and skill-sharing, in order to enable citizens in sparsely-populated areas to become cultural volunteers, connectors and conveners. Each country and region has its own unique challenges, advantages and resources. Research has been undertaken to find common ground and ways to share knowledge and best practice to benefit citizens across Europe.

We are glad to announce the European conference of the SPAR project to be held 8-9 June in Budapest, Hungary. The aim of the final conference is to valorise the key outcome of the project to main European target groups, especially to other countries than the countries of the project partners and to trans-European associations, thereby reaching out to European audiences hitherto not addressed. The partnership circle consists of six organisations from five EU member states working in the area of participatory arts, voluntary culture, liberal adult education and civil society development.

On behalf the partners, the Hungarian Folk High School Society (HFHSS), the organiser of the European conference cordially invites you and your colleagues interested in the diverse practice of partnership and the outcome of the SPAR project and in discussing and sharing experiences.
